Balanced Super Saiyan 4: Why Radgeta May Be The Strongest Fighter in What If Multiverse

So if you’re reading this, then you have come from What If Raditz Turned Good Part 13 where you were introduced to a character named Radgeta; the fusion of Vegeta and Raditz. You’re probably wondering where this idea came from? Well, it came from you!

Out of the blue, on my Dragon Ball R&R Art videos, there was an influx of art concerning Radgeta, the fusion I talked about. I had no idea it was such an interesting concept…but after more thought I was captivated with the notion and I must thank you for your enthusiastic ideas; the community can truly come up with fun thought experiments!

The concept of Radgeta works on many levels, two especially! First, this combination of Vegeta and Raditz is the culmination of the story arc that has been around since the first time Raditz and Vegeta worked together back in the days of the Freeza Force. Over the course of the What if Raditz timeline, their rivarly went through many different evolutions. It was contempt at first, then intense rivarly and then full-blown conflict which came to a head in the battle between Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta and Super Saiyan Blue Raditz. That ended in a tie and set the tone for their resolution which has concluded in Part 13.

It all comes down to this: Raditz and Vegeta joining forces.

It acts as the closing of a chapter of the Dragon Ball Z/Super arc of Vegeta’s coming to terms with his place in the Z Fighters. He may not be the strongest but he’s got his own thing and something that neither Kakarot or Raditz possess: Super Saiyan 4. This then leads on to the second biggest reason this fusion works – colour theory.

What’s that? Colour theory stems from a series of videos that Haverok and I have worked on for the past couple of years. It surrounds the notion of the seven primary chakra of Hinduism (see image below). Now chakra is not just your run-of-the-mill way of explaining how an anime character can get stronger; it has a deeper meaning than that. The idea is not only present in Hinduism, but also in Buddhism and Jainism. By delving into the seven chakras, we could potentially explain every single Super Saiyan hair colour in existence, as well as predict future potential colours! Asia is very colour-centric; much more than us in the West. Colours can have all kinds of meanings in whatever field but in philosophy and spiritualism, it’s on a whole other level! The website Zenlama describes the chakra system:

“The 7 Chakras are the energy centres in our body in which energy flows through…a chakra is like a whirling, vortex-like, powerhouse of energy. Within our bodies, you have seven of these major energy centres and many more minor ones. You can think of chakras as invisible, rechargeable batteries. They are charged and recharged through contact with the stream of cosmic energy in the atmosphere in much the same way that your home is connected to a central power source within a city – the only difference is that this cosmic energy source is free…The seven major chakras are in the centre of the body…”, The 7 Chakras – A Beginner’s Guide To Your Energy System

The seven primary chakra of the human body.

In a future video (Broly Colour Theory) we discuss more in depth about how Broly/Super Saiyan 4 potentially represents the three lower chakra (Muladhara/Root, Swadisthan/Sacral and Manipura/Solar Plexus). In our discussion, Haverok and I suppose that when exposed to god ki, Goku and Raditz have transcended above the Anahata (Heart) chakra and are working their way through the three upper self chakra: (Vishuddha/Throat, Ajna/Third Eye, Sahaswara/Crown). In the Dragon Ball Super Broly movie, the two main fighters are essentially testing out which is better: the upper or the lower self? (That’s why reality broke like that, that was deliberate!)

OK, so what does this have to do with Radgeta? Well, it has everything to do with our colour theory. By combining Super Saiyan 4 and the essence of Super Saiyan Blue, Radgeta’s form could be one of the strongest mortals in Dragon Ball R&R. On what grounds? All the primary chakra are open to him. Forget Goku being the strongest, Radgeta is stronk! With the addition of Raditz’s god ki and the Vishuddha and Ajna chakra flowing through their veins, Radgeta can tap into six of the seven chakra…and with further training, the Sahaswara/Crown chakra could be unlocked as well allowing Radgeta to be on the same level as Ultra Instinct or Merged Zamasu.

The Crown chakra is not open to everyone, it requires training or immense fortitude which in Dragon Ball is easily accessible by kais and gods. Mortals have a rough time of it and the best way to do so is to experiment with god ki which Goku and Raditz have done. Without Ultra Instinct to hand, Raditz has become the strongest single Saiyan as Raditz has tapped into Ajna more than Goku has. Kaioken Blue x20 is plenty strong but it is essentially pumping up your Vishuddha chakra to ridiculous limits with your Muladhara chakra; it is not sustainable whereas Ajna is:

“A balanced third eye is a beautiful thing, and it’s really what you are trying to achieve when you start on a path to spiritual development. When your third eye chakra is balanced, you will equally feel in tune with both the physical world and the material world. You will receive psychic information as frequently as you receive information from your 5 physical senses, but it will not overwhelm you.”

  • Mindvalley, The Complete Guide To The 7 Chakras

Raditz has used his shrewdness to fully embrace the power of Mastered Super Saiyan Blue whereas Goku just relied on Kaioken to work with Blue. It’s a powerful technique, but it’s not something that can be relied on ALL the time. If Goku tapped into Ajna (like he does in the Super manga against Zamasu), he’d be on the same track as Raditz.

With Ajna open to Raditz, Radgeta has balanced the power of Super Saiyan 4 to a far more stable and less primal position with the seven chakra allowing for a phenomenal boost in power. It’s like mastering Super Saiyan 4 instantly and a change of ki can be seen. Instead of the usual red/yellow ki of Super Saiyan 4, Balanced Super Saiyan 4 has a faint blue/purple aura denoting the unlocking of the upper self. With these two extra chakra available, Radgeta is a BEAST.

Raditz’s Ajna chakra (Third Eye) permits him to perfect Mastered Super Saiyan Blue.

Now this is all just a theory and based off of a two-year old concept that Haverok and I talked about. That being said, it has given us the platform to suppose the rationale of Radgeta and not just having it for the sake of a narrative device. This has deeper meaning and supposes the notion of the strongest mortal in the Universes. Stronger than Jiren? Possibly.

After all of the blowback from fans about Vegeta’s treatement in the early days of What If Raditz Turned Good, Vegeta can now stand proud with Goku and Raditz. Together with his former minion, he is one half of potentially one of the strongest entities in the MULTIVERSE. Just focus on that Crown chakra a little more~
